Author’s notes: Special thanks to Kat for pinking this for me.
The mermaid climbed out of the sea and onto to the rocks. She lay back, basking in the warmth of the summer sun. To anyone sailing by, she appeared to be a naked woman, whose towel had wrapped around her legs. Those on the shore would think the same thing at first, but as they drew closer, it was easy to see the towel was simply her fish tail. Most people on land never got that close anyway as she usually sensed their presence. All they would see would be her naked breasts as she sat up and a flash of her buttocks as she dove off the rocks into the water.
She lay there, dreaming of sailors and playing with dolphins. One sailor in particular haunted her dreams. He was slim and wiry and bronzed from days spent on deck in the sun. She had saved him from drowning during a storm, when he got washed overboard. He had clung to her, calling her his angel, his savior. The mermaid dreamt that she was hauling him up on shore again. It was hard work and exhausted, she fell asleep in his arms. In her dream she was waking up, his hand gently fondling her breast. She moaned softly in her sleep, before waking up.
The mermaid pushed herself up into a sitting position. She stretched, wishing she could see her beloved sailor again. Unfortunately, he was long gone, having died along with the old schooners she loved to race alongside of. She hated the motorboats that traveled the seas nowadays. They were loud and dangerous. She was sure the sailors on the smaller ones had no idea what they were doing. She knew the ones on the tiny; barely there boats terrified the fish and annoyed the dolphins in the area. The mermaid snorted her displeasure at the thought of them, all the pleasurable sensations in her vent gone. Grumbling softly to herself, she slipped back into the water and swam away.
